For schools and universities in North America and Asia
AI support for the people who run schools.
We help heads of school, coordinators, counsellors and admissions teams spend less time on admin and use AI safely. We offer private sessions for heads of school, run staff workshops, set up ready-made and custom workflows, build your AI policy with your community, and support PowerSchool.
Support the adults, and you support every student in the room.
We're educators who decided we could do the most good by supporting school leaders.
We met as colleagues at an international school in Doha. Between us we have about 14 years in education, and we have:
- Built timetables and supervision schedules, and run daily cover
- Spent close to a decade on PowerSchool, including as the people who pitched an upgrade, set it up and ran it
- Worked as academic counsellors and supported admissions teams
- Piloted and launched a full AI policy and guidance framework at an international school in Guangzhou
This is founder experience from before Versura. Ask us about any of it.
- 01We know the calendar. Priorities compete and capacity is short. We start when you're ready.
- 02We know the people. Boards, leaders, teachers, parents and students each need to hear about change differently.
- 03We know the limits. Student data privacy, academic integrity, and release time that doesn't exist.
Where does your team's time go?
6:45 AM
A teacher calls in sick.
Someone pieces together cover from a spreadsheet, the timetable and three chat groups before first bell.
How we helpEvery week
Universities change the rules.
Counsellors check dozens of admissions pages by hand for new deadlines, tests and requirements.
How we helpEvery term
A competing school changes its fees.
Admissions and marketing teams try to keep track of what other schools are doing.
How we helpEvery day
The same process, the same steps.
Reports, approvals and routine tasks follow the same steps every time, and someone does them by hand.

Training
AI Fluency & Adoption Workshops
AI Fluency & Adoption Workshops are hands-on working sessions, for school staff and for school leaders, where people use AI on real tasks from their own week, on the tools your school has approved.
Where to start
A private session for the head of school, or one working session for your leadership team.
Your staff already use AI, mostly quietly and each in their own way. A tour of twenty tools doesn't match anyone's job. In our sessions a teacher brings a rubric, an admissions officer brings a parent follow-up, a marketer brings next week's newsletter, and they work on it live.
Along the way they meet the failure points: the confident wrong answer, the thing that should never go into a tool, and the task where AI adds work instead of saving it.
The Private AI Session for Heads of School
The Private AI Session for Heads of School is a confidential one-to-one session where you work through your own AI questions, and one live piece of your own work, on the platform your school has approved.
Most heads of school use AI a little and are asked about it constantly, by the board, by parents and by staff. Few have had a place to work it out without an audience. This session is that place.
- For:heads of school and other senior school leaders.
- Format:private, one to one, fully customised. 90 minutes, online or in person.
- Confidential:who attended and what was discussed stays in the room.
Before the session, a five minute intake call establishes where you are today, from no account at all to regular use, which platform your school has approved, and the real question you want to bring. The session is built around that starting point.
In the session, you will
- 01Set up or tidy your own account on the platform your school actually uses, and learn what it can and cannot be trusted with, including what should never go into a tool.
- 02Work one live piece of your own job through AI, step by step: a board paper, a difficult parent email or a staff communication. The wrong answers stay in, so you can see what they look like.
- 03Leave with a one-page personal plan: how you will use AI in your role, what to ask your team, and what to ask when a vendor says “AI-powered.”
An optional 45 minute check-in a few weeks later reviews the plan against what actually happened. If you want the whole school moving, the next step is the AI Policy Program.
Six sessions
- Private AI Session for Heads of School. One to one and confidential. A five minute intake call, then 90 minutes built around your starting point and one live piece of your own work. Ends with a one-page personal plan.
- AI Fluency Working Session.Run by role: teachers, counsellors, admissions, marketing, operations and leadership, each separately. Ends with prompt patterns for that role, a personal checklist, and a shortlist of tasks worth automating.
- Tool Bootcamp.A deep dive on the platform your school actually uses: Kimi, Doubao, ChatGPT or Microsoft AI.
- Build Your Own Agent.Staff build a working assistant themselves, no coding needed, and leave owning something that runs.
- Parent Evening. How AI shows up in school life, what to encourage at home and what to watch for.
- Student AI Fluency Program.A term-long sequence for students, described below.
The Student AI Fluency Program
- 01Judgment before tools:how AI works, why it can be confidently wrong, and how to check.
- 02A track chosen with your school:research and writing, creative and design, coding and building, or everyday productivity.
- 03Your school's own AI policy,in your words.
One assembly doesn't change how students use AI. The program is four to six class sessions a term, in three grade bands, with the same structure and different depth. We teach the sessions, or train your teachers to teach them so the skills stay in your school. Students only ever use tools your school has approved.
Formats
60–90 minutes after school, or a PD slot. Online or in person. By role or whole staff. The private session for heads of school is 90 minutes, one to one.
What your school holds at the end
Prompt patterns for each role, personal checklists, a shortlist of tasks worth automating, and staff who can teach others.
Both founders have delivered professional development as educators, in their own schools and at conferences. This is founder experience, not Versura-delivered work yet.
Automation
AI Workflows for Schools
AI Workflows for Schools are small assistants that do the repetitive part of a school process, inside the tools your school already uses, while a person at your school approves everything that goes out.
Where to start
An audit of the one process that costs your team the most time.
Hard work hides in spreadsheets, inboxes, chat groups and one person's memory. When that person leaves, the know-how goes with them. We look at how the work really runs, then take the repetitive part off your staff's plate.
Three ways in
- 01Workflow Audit. We map one painful process end to end, with the people who do it. You choose the scope: specific people, or a whole role. Within two weeks you get a short written report: the process as it runs, where it gets stuck, what to automate, what to leave alone, and a fixed-price proposal. The report is useful even if you never buy anything else.
- 02Ready-made workflows.Three workflows built for schools, described below.
- 03Custom builds. For a process unique to your school, scoped from an audit, delivered at a fixed price, and owned by your school.
Ready-made workflows
- Coverage Assistant (for coordinators).Suggests fair internal cover for each period from your timetable and fairness rules, shows why, and drafts the message for the coordinator to check and send. It never changes the master timetable.
- University Requirements Tracker (for counsellors).A weekly digest of changes on universities' own admissions pages, including requirements, deadlines, testing, fees and scholarships, sorted by urgency. Every item links to its source.
- Competitor School Tracker (for admissions and marketing).Fee changes, programme announcements and page updates from the schools you choose to watch, in one short weekly report.
A demo of each is available, shown on a test school with test and public data only.
How it's built
Fixed rules make the decisions; AI explains, drafts and flags. Everything is tested on made-up data first. If the system can't find an answer that fits your rules, it shows the gap and passes it to a person.
Two ways to run it
- In your school's own tools. We set it up in the platforms you already use and approve. The workflow and its data stay in your environment, and the build belongs to your school.
- On the Versura platform (in development).Your school signs in to its own private space and we run the workflow for you. Before anything is set up, we take your IT lead through our data procedures in writing. No student personal data goes into the platform.
Support
30 days of launch support with every build, then help as you need it.
What your school holds at the end
A mapped process, a working workflow your school owns or subscribes to, trained staff and a named owner.
Policy
The AI Policy Program
The AI Policy Program takes a school from “we know we need an AI policy” to a launched policy, written with its staff, students and parents, in one term (eight to ten weeks).
Where to start
A conversation with your head of school about where things stand today.
Most schools use AI every day without a policy written for it, and boards are asking where the school stands. A policy handed to a community gets ignored. A policy built with one gets followed.
Four phases
01Listenabout 2 weeks
An anonymous staff survey, run by us and reported only in aggregate, so people can be honest without blame. Leadership and IT interviews. Student and parent voice.
02Assessabout 1 week
A readiness report: where your school really is, and where the real risks are.
03Buildabout 3 weeks
Working sessions where leaders, teachers, students and parents each shape the part of the policy that applies to them. We facilitate, or give your leaders a toolkit to run the sessions themselves.
04Align2–3 weeks
Final documents in your school's words, a board version, a staff rollout session and a note for parents.
What your school holds at the end
- The AI policy, in your school's own words
- A guidance document: classroom procedures, disclosure, citation and assessment
- A tool vetting rubric and approval process
- An approved tools list, tiered for student and teacher use
- An academic integrity protocol, including an honest position on AI detectors
- A board version and a parent communication note
- A teacher readiness checklist and classroom materials
- A quarterly review cycle, so the policy keeps up with the tools
We're not lawyers
We check vendor terms, data residency and whether tools train on your inputs. Your school's legal adviser reviews the final policy, and it arrives built for that review.
One of our founders wrote and launched this full set at an international school in Guangzhou over six months. That school has now used it for a full school year. Founder experience from before Versura.
Systems
PowerSchool Services
PowerSchool Services are independent health checks, migrations and ongoing administration for schools running PowerSchool, from people who've bought it, implemented it and run it day to day.
Where to start
A remote Health Check.
PowerSchool problems are rarely about the software. The one person who really knew the system has left. Data doesn't match after a migration. Permissions have grown messy over the years. Report card season exposes every gap.
- PowerSchool Health Check.A remote, fixed-scope review of your setup, data quality, permissions and modules, with a written findings report and a phased roadmap. If your setup is fine, the report says so.
- Implementation and migration.Phased, with each phase scoped before it starts. Data checked against the source before sign-off. Training by role, and we stay through your first full reporting cycle.
- Ongoing administration.A set block of PowerSchool hours each month, delivered remotely.
- Independent. We have no reseller agreements and gain nothing from selling you software.
- Limited places. We take one or two PowerSchool schools at a time, so we do the work ourselves. If both places are full, we'll give you an honest start date.
Your tools, your data, your sign-off
Whatever we set up, these are our starting rules. We adapt them to your school's policies during setup.
- Never sends a message on its own. A person checks and sends.
- Never makes safeguarding, staffing, medical or performance decisions.
- Never guesses the private reason behind an absence.
- Never invents an answer to fit your rules. It shows the gap.
- Tested on made-up data before it touches real data.
How to get started
- 01
Tell us what takes your team the most time.
A 30-minute call with the person who owns that work.
- 02
Choose where to begin.
A private session for the head of school, a staff workshop, a workflow audit or a PowerSchool Health Check. Each is small and fixed in scope.
- 03
See something useful within two weeks.
A working session your staff can use, or a written report.
We plan around your school calendar.
Big changes land between terms. Training lands on PD days or release time we help you protect. Go-live never lands mid-reporting-cycle. We have lived enough school years to plan around them.
Questions schools ask
- What is the private session for heads of school?
- A confidential, one-to-one, 90-minute session built around your starting point and one live piece of your own work, such as a board paper or a difficult parent email. It begins with a five minute intake call and ends with a one-page personal plan.
- Is the private session confidential?
- Yes. Who attended and what was discussed stays in the room.
- Do you work with the AI tools our school already uses?
- Yes. We train on and build inside the platforms your school has approved, whether that's Kimi, Doubao, ChatGPT, Microsoft AI or something else.
- Will student data go into AI tools?
- Not without your approval. Every workflow is tested on made-up data first, and a person approves everything that goes out. If you choose the Versura platform, your IT lead sees our data procedures in writing before anything is set up, and no student personal data goes into it.
- Will this replace staff?
- No. Our workflows take the repetitive part of a job away so staff spend their time on judgment, students and families. A person approves everything that goes out.
- How long does an AI policy take?
- One term, about eight to ten weeks, from first survey to launch.
- Can you train our teachers to run the student sessions?
- Yes. Train-the-teacher is part of the Student AI Fluency Program, so the skills stay in your school.
- Where do you work?
- With public, private and international schools and universities in Canada, across North America and throughout Asia, including mainland China.
- Do you work in person?
- Yes, during regular regional visits, and online any time.
- Do you resell PowerSchool?
- No. We have no reseller agreements, so we gain nothing from recommending software your school doesn't need.
What would make the biggest difference for your team this term?
Describe it in your own words. We'll tell you what it needs and where to start.
